Residents of Highgate and the surrounding areas gathered last week in the 17th century walled garden of the Harington Scheme to hear local authors Sophie Radice, Michele Hanson and Caitlin Davies read from their works, followed by a lively discussion.
Caitlin Davies talked about her book 'Taking the Waters' and her new novel set on the Hampstead Heath; Michele Hanson about her just written book about dogs, many of whom are walked on the Heath, and Sophie Radice about her novel 'The Henry Experiment' set on the Heath.
The evening, in support of The Scheme, was a great success despite the rain and helped spread the word about our work to our local community. Many thanks to our authors, supporters, visitors and staff who worked so hard to make it go so well.
